The Chairman of Ash Green Residents Association (AGRA) is to host an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Ash Green Residents’ Association between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Tuesday 18th February at the Hogs Back Hotel and Spa to which we are all invited. One of the topics on their agenda is the Strategic Development Framework - Supplementary Planning Document for Guildford Borough and discussions around this will influence the way that AshRA and AGRA will formally respond to the consultation.

NOTE: This is an AGRA not ASHRA meeting.

Drop in Sessions - Ash Road Bridge and Ash Manor School

Two Drop-In events you may wish to attend on Tuesday 8th October:

Ash Manor School – Community Engagement, who welcome parents, residents, alumni abd future families to see plans for the next phase of Ash Manor's development. Although it is not clear what this entails, I am hoping that it provides details of the expansion required to meet the Local Plan policy reference SED 4. The event will take place between 2:30 and 7pm and will be at Ash manor School.

Ash Road Bridge - Plans to replace the level crossing with a road bridge (ref 19/P/01460) in Ash have now been submitted. If you have any questions on the plans, please drop-in and meet the team (from Guildford BC) on Tuesday 8 October between 3-7pm at the Victoria Hall, Ash Hill Rd, Ash, Aldershot, GU12 5DN. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about the planning application and the technical work that has been completed. The drop-in will be run on a first come first served basis. For more information, including a chance to view comments on the plans visit guildford.gov.uk/planning.

AGM - 2nd October

Dear Resident,

Ash Residents Association is to hold an Annual General Meeting at 7:30 on Wednesday 2nd October in the Victoria Hall, 121, Ash Hill Rd, Ash Vale. GU12 5DN. Your attendance will be appreciated.

I have been Chairman for AshRA for almost 12 months but regret that I will have to leave the role as it is my intention to move away so that my wife and I move nearer to family. This involves a move to Wales.

Whilst the meeting will cover a number of topics (details to follow), I would like you to consider whether you or someone you know will stand to take of the Chair for the forthcoming year. If you wish to nominate someone, please ensure that the nominee agrees to being nominated.

If you wish to be considered or can nominate someone, then please contact returning.officer@ashra.org.uk.

See you on the 2nd October,

John Dymott

Manor Farm, The Street, Tongham

There are new documents relating to the Planning Application 18/P/02461, which refers to the development of about 250 new properties at Manor Farm, The Street, Tongham (opposite the Brewery). One of the comments made so far is that “According to this website, only 159 people/properties have been consulted”.

The new information provides details about the site’s construction and management.

If you have any concerns about the development, then please make your comments known. You can access the application on the GBC website here
