YOUR LAST CHANCE TO STOP THE BUILDING
Guildford Borough Council will soon decide on the Bewley Homes planning application to build 400 houses on the fields between Ash and Tongham.
A full Council meeting (to which the public may attend) will take place in the Council Chambers of Guildford Borough Council, Millmead, Guildford, GU2 4BB on Tuesday, 24th September 2013 at 8pm.
Ash Residents Association members will be speaking against the application at the meeting and would like as many residents as possible to be there to show their opposition to this development. This is the last chance to let Guildford Borough Council know the strength of opinion against this proposal and if hundreds of residents turn up it will send a powerful message.
Guildford Borough Council have advised residents that only 120 members of the public will be able to be seated in the Council Chambers, however, if the Council Chamber was full, including standing room, and there were hundreds of people outside, this would send a powerful message. Numbers could be critical here, so the bigger the attendance the better.
To give us some idea of potential numbers of attendees, if you are planning to attend we would appreciate an email letting us know how many from your household are going. Our e-mail address is info@ashra.org.uk.
Parking
There are plenty of car parking facilities within a short walk, and this link http://www.guildford.gov.uk/carparks has details of all the Guildford car parks. Please be aware that parking is very limited in the council offices forecourt (Millmead House car park) and not worth attempting.
If you know someone who wants to attend but doesn’t have transport, please consider giving lifts.
