Planning Applications
Dean Close (Land South of Guildford Road) 19/P/02197
Residents of Ash, Ash Green and Tongham - NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO COMMENT ON THE FINAL PROPOSALS FOR DEAN CLOSE (Land south of, Guildford Road) SITE
As residents of the local area, you can now have your say on CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE about key aspects of the proposed building development next to Ash Train station on the Dean Close site (Land south of, Guildford Road - the space between the level crossing and the Kia garage that has a proposal for 154 houses under proposal 19/P/02197).
Outline planning permission was approved last year. The current consultation is with regard to the DETAILED PLANNING DOCUMENTS. THE DOCUMENTS CAN BE FOUND HERE: https://www2.guildford.gov.uk/public…/applicationDetails.do…
Without sufficient community engagement, we risk the plans simply being approved as they stand and we may not get the another chance to have any influence over the final design in "APPEARANCE, LANDSCAPING, LAYOUT, SCALE AND ACCESSES WITHIN THE SITE", which may be fundamental to the impact on our daily lives.
Some of you might think the plans are an excellent- but what if they could be better? You still need to comment on what could be improved.
Some of you might oppose elements of the plans - BUT IF YOU DON’T SPEAK UP NOW THEN YOU CANNOT INFLUENCE WHAT THE FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN WILL LOOK LIKE and we then lose our voice as a community.
Please take this opportunity to have your say!
The process is quick and simple: please upload your comments for Planning Reference 19/P/02197 here: https://www2.guildford.gov.uk/public…/applicationDetails.do… (you will need to create a comment account at this link if you don’t already have one and its very simple to do).
In addition to the proposed houses on the site- there is also the SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT that may influence your thoughts. Please not that this document is also available for comment. Please also look at this- perhaps you feel that some areas are 'too vague' or are even factually incorrect? YOUR VIEW MATTERS AND YOU CAN COMMENT ON THIS TOO. The SPD outlines the guidance for the planned feel for Ash and Tongham
ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK! AND PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE FAR AND WIDE TO GET AS MANY COMMENTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE THEY CLOSE THE COMMENTS OFF.
We would also like to inform residents that Jo Clark has joined the AshRA committee. She brings further youth and enthusiasm to our group and we look forward to her involvement in our dealing with our concerns.
